Indonesia’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan Meets the CEO of EBI Resources on Tourism Cooperation

Jakarta, 31 August 2026 — The CEO of EBI Resources received Indonesia’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan to discuss the next steps in the group’s investment in Uzbekistan. On that occasion the CEO invited the Ambassador to attend the inauguration of Hadith Hotel at the Imam Al Bukhari memorial complex in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The two sides also discussed the potential for EBI Resources to expand its investment in Uzbekistan, and the importance of more Indonesian travellers visiting Uzbekistan for general tourism and pilgrimage.

The Ambassador welcomed the idea of more visitors travelling between Indonesia and Uzbekistan, which is expected to be supported by a planned direct flight between Jakarta and Tashkent in the near term. She expressed the hope that EBI Resources’ investment in Uzbekistan, together with that planned route, would strengthen tourism cooperation between the two countries.

Both sides also hoped that closer investment and socio-cultural ties would be matched by closer government-to-government cooperation, including high-level visits, to further strengthen bilateral relations between Indonesia and Uzbekistan.
