After Visiting the Imam Bukhari Shrine, Ahmad Muzani Tours Hotel Kampoeng Indonesia

The Speaker of Indonesia’s People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR), Ahmad Muzani, together with a delegation of MPR members, pesantren leaders, ulama, and figures from Islamic organisations, visited the shrine of Imam Bukhari in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, on Friday, 3 July 2026. The visit formed part of a programme to deepen Indonesia–Uzbekistan relations and the long-standing historical and religious ties between the two nations.
After the pilgrimage, Ahmad Muzani and the delegation continued to Hotel Kampoeng Indonesia, within the Imam Bukhari memorial complex. The three-star hotel is part of EBI Resources’ investment from Indonesia in Uzbekistan, and is intended to support Indonesian travellers and pilgrims visiting Samarkand.
The guests were served a midday meal at the hotel. Ahmad Muzani commended the Indonesian dishes offered in a religious-tourism setting in Uzbekistan, and the hotel’s Indonesian character, which he said gave comfort to guests — especially Indonesians visiting the shrine of Imam Bukhari.
