Indonesia’s Vice Minister of Trade, Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri, visited Hotel Kampoeng Indonesia at the Imam Al Bukhari Complex in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, on 19 June 2026. She was accompanied by the secretary of the Directorate General of International Trade Negotiation, Danang Prasta Danial, and Indonesia’s trade attaché posted in New Delhi.
The Vice Minister commended EBI Resources’ expansion in Uzbekistan through Hotel Kampoeng Indonesia. She also noted two further hotels — a three-star and a five-star property — then planned for inauguration in September 2026.
The Ministry of Trade expressed its support for strengthening the business setting in which EBI Resources operates in Uzbekistan. One focus is greater export of Indonesian goods, especially for hotels, restaurants, and cafés, into the Uzbek market, together with faster high-level talks on a free-trade arrangement between Indonesia and Uzbekistan, then expected to take place in Samarkand.
